Jira Software and Jira Service Management
Connect Jira so every report becomes a card on the right board, or a ticket in the support queue.
With Jira connected, every report becomes a card on the chosen board (Jira Software) or a ticket in the support queue (Jira Service Management), with the AI description, the steps, the environment and the attachments.
1. Create the API token
- step 01Open the token manager
- step 02Create it without scopes
Click Create API token (the button without scopes). Give it a name, such as
Capto, and an expiry date. - step 03Copy the token
It is shown only once.
2. Connect it in Capto
- step 01Open Integrations
In the dashboard, go to Integrations and add a Jira connection.
- step 02Fill in the fields
The URL of your Jira (e.g.
https://yourcompany.atlassian.net), the email of the Atlassian account that created the token, and the token. - step 03Save
Capto tests the credentials right away. If it works, choose which boards the team will see.
- step 04Set the default
Mark the default (★) connection. It comes preselected in the extension.
In the extension
When reporting, the person chooses Connection → Board. The card is created on the chosen board and the link shows up in the report.
Email notifications
Each board can have people in copy: they get an email when a report arrives on that board.
