Getting started

Create your account, install the extension and send your first bug report in under 5 minutes.

In a few minutes you will have an account, the extension installed and your first report sent.

1. Create your account

    Go to capto.dev

    Click Create a free account. You can use email and password or sign in with your company Microsoft account.

  2. step 02
    Add your phone number

    On first sign-in, Capto asks for a contact phone number.

  3. step 03
    Choose a plan

    You can start on Free (5 reports per month, no card) and change later. See Plans.

2. Install the extension

    Open the Chrome Web Store

    Search for Capto and click Add to Chrome. It also works in Edge and Brave.

  2. step 02
    Pin it to the toolbar

    Click the puzzle icon in your browser, then the pin next to Capto.

  3. step 03
    Sign in with the same account

    Open the extension and sign in. It stays linked to your company.

3. Send your first report

  1. step 01
    Open the site with the problem

    It can be production, staging or an internal environment. The extension works on any page.

  2. step 02
    Describe it in one sentence

    In Report a problem, fill in what you tried to do, what you expected and what happened.

  3. step 03
    Record and reproduce

    Click Start recording and repeat what caused the error.

  4. step 04
    Stop and send

    Click stop and then Send to IT. The report shows up in the dashboard and, if a board is connected, becomes a card.
